Joined the Trustee team for the SocRSE non-profit UK organisation (charity number: 1182455) for the privilege to support software engineering as a super-power for researchers. Founded on the belief that a world which relies on software must recognise the people who develop it.

Volunteering Subcommittee Chair, Young Professionals (YP) Committee

• Lead, manage and maintain the volunteering platform and ambassador program.
• Develop concept notes for new initiatives.
• Identify needs and design programs, as required, to address them.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders and subject matter experts.
• Select, coordinate, and train ambassadors effectively.
• Lead and coordinate the volunteering subcommittee.
• Represent at YP meetings and report to the YP committee.

Lead, Platform Management - Volunteering Platform

Enabling volunteering across IEEE societies through enhancements of the volunteer.ieee.org platform.

• Ensure volunteering opportunities on the platform are up-to-date and relevant.
• Identify, report, and document platform limitations.
• Propose and suggest enhancements to improve the platform.
• Support requirements gathering for platform improvements.
• Participate in discussions and coordinate with the IEEE IT team.
• Analyse user growth and usage patterns on the platform.
• Develop strategies to increase adoption and usage of the platform.
• Collaborate closely with the Lead for the Ambassador Program.

Developed and maintained the online contest platform for thousands of Romanian students to take part in the Romanian stages of the Brain Bee neuroscience competition.
